This workshop is designed for women and professionals to
teach a better understanding of the pelvic floor to those who may have
lost touch with that area and are experiencing weakness. Techniques are
given to better understand the unique function of the bony pelvis and
the surrounding soft tissue structures. Participants learn to isolate
the musculature and how to instruct others to understand the pelvic
floor with subtle exercises. Learn techniques for life. Ideal for all
women, childbirth educators, doulas, RMTs, Yoga, Pilates or fitness
teachers, chiropractors, physiotherapists or anyone working with
women's health. Cost: $120 early bird registration by August 1, after
August 1 $160
Marina Locke lives in Auckland, New Zealand with her
husband, Neil. A continual interest in health and wellbeing she studies
and practices Massage Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy and Yoga. As a
teacher of specialised workshops on pregnancy and women's health issues
she travels around the globe.

moving and positioning her body can facilitate a better birthing
process. With better understanding of the muscles, and their
attachments to the pelvis, the birthing woman with her partner and/or a
birth assistant can: -Strengthen and gain muscle endurance -Learn to
help encourage the position of a baby for optimum birthing -Facilitate
movement to ease childbirth. Understanding the pelvic structures will
greatly assist in the post partum period and for any woman at any stage
in life. Ideal for women and their partners preparing for birth. Cost:

Mind The Planet
is a presentation about what is happening to our climate (from a
scientific point of view), the consequences of climate change, why so
many people are confused about what is happening, and finally and most
importantly, what we can do to reduce the risks we are taking. This
presentation is geared towards people who are not sure what is
happening with our climate, perhaps because of all the controversy in
the media, and towards those who already know and care about the
climate change we are experiencing and will experience, but aren't sure
how to talk about it or what to do about it.
Cost: By donation (suggested $10.00), all proceeds go to the David
Suziki Foundation.
